To illustrate the increasing levels of energy efficiency that are now achievable with uPVC windows a new ‘A++’ Window Energy Rating standard was introduced by the BFRC on 1st October 2015.

How We Achieved ‘A++’
The new ‘A++’ standard requires that windows reach a minimum of ‘A+20’ in order to hold the rating. We have successfully achieved this standard and our uPVC windows effectively offer a realistic ‘A+25’ standard when used with triple glazing.
One of the issues that can arise is excessive solar gain. We have successfully combatted this with our ‘A++’ uPVC windows as triple glazed units outperform than the equivalent double glazed units according to the BRFC.
What this means is our ‘A++’ windows will provide much better insulation properties in the winter and less solar heat gain in the summer. They offer lower U-values and the annoyance of internal condensation is eradicated.
Triple Glazing
Triple glazing is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to double glazing and a far more important product for TruFrame and our customers. We incorporate a 40mm sealed unit in our triple glazing with the use of a cleverly designed glazing bead.
In addition to this, we use heavy duty friction hinges producing a triple glazing product that is up to the job and far more commercially viable than other products available on the market. What’s more, we are the only UK window manufacturer that offers a six-chambered, sculptured and chamfered window as our standard product with no additional cost to our customers!
